When I finished birthing my first child, the delivery nurse commented that if they could bottle my birth experience and sell it, they would be rich.  We all know that birth is a totally personal experience, but I truly believe that there are elements of my birth that can be shared.  Jacie’s hypnobirth class is one of the main elements that I believe lead me to have the birth I dreamed of. 

My labor started at the theater on Halloween night and ended with the birth of a healthy baby girl.  Using the hypnobirthing techniques we learned in Jacie’s class, I was able to labor at home until my surges were consistent, my water broke and we felt ready to go in. From stories I’ve heard from friends and my health care providers, many people go in too early to the hospital and that leads being induced.  Looking back, if I hadn’t been able to labor at home, I probably would have been one of those being induced. I firmly believe what we learned with Jacie is what gave us the strength and knowledge to get me through the process of natural childbirth.  We are so grateful for this experience….
